This is an organised collection of mods that I have either reviewed or plan on reviewing. It tends to grow faster than I can finish them, so I’m estimating I’ll be done by the year 2030.
If I’ve made a mistake with the labelling, or you wish to suggest a mod — or would like yours removed, please let me know!
Ascalon’s Breagar NPC for BG1 is in English. Very, very well written mod with an interesting sub-quest. Author really know how to write a Dwarf. Highly recommended. There’s also BG2 part but only in German for now iirc.
Hi can you also do Rjali – its supposed to allow multiple romances so you can see all the content but it does much worse. I did an EET install and after completing fully completing BG1 and SoD, I literally gave up after the first cringy conversation with her in the dungeon. Would be nice to have someone tell me how bad it gets.
May I suggest Tower of Deception? It’s a quest mod that was originally created for old BG2:ToB but has since been converted for BG2EE and EET. I’ve never tried it but I was wondering if it was more of a ‘nostalgic’ mod to try once, to keep for each new run, or on the contrary to avoid.
I have played it. I would say that if you’re looking for an old mod it’s a good time, but it’s pretty archaic and in my opinion, Dark Tidings does pretty much everything ToD does but better.
Dark Tidings is on my list of mods to try, but if ToD is just the same thing but not as good, I may as well just get Dark Tidings. Especially as there seems to be no shortage of quest mods for BG2.
Looking forward to your review of the Isra mods for BG1 and 2. The story proceeds as a whole much like Sirene and EET is not required for either. They may serve as a counterbalance to the usual though if you’re set on classic cringe for the moment Chloe isn’t in your compendium list.
